Reflective Blog

There were many different outcomes that were excepted to be completed at the end of the course. Each outcome related to different ideas of what I needed to know by the end. I learned many new ideas and tech skills while being in my Ed Tech class. An example is Scratch Jr and learning how to code, at first I felt it was difficult and I became frustrated with it however, once I was able to get the hang of what was being asked it became easy to follow along. I felt I was fairly prepared when it came to my tech skills for this class since I use technology each day whether it is at work or school. I did however, extend my knowledge and learned about new apps and different tech skills that can be used to enhance my skills.  SAMR was an important article that was talked about in my class this semester. It enhances my idea of how different technologies can be used to help learners. I can use this technology to allow me to have different ideas of where each of my students can be with what is b

World of Google

Before I had completed this assignment I was fairly familiar with google. I would consider myself noivce or expert since I have used google for many years throughout school. I knew about google forms, google drive, google docs and google classroom. Google docs are one of my favourites since it automatically saves any work I have done, as well I am able to easily find any documents I have completed in the past. As well, google classroom is easy to follow along and you can look back at past assignments or anything your teacher has posted even if it was from months of years before hand. Teachers can post on the goggle classroom so that all the students can view it, parents can also access the posts since their child can log into the google classroom using their login information.       Google drawing, google lens and google arts and culture are some of the few google tools I have recently learned about. I thought each of them were interesting since all the google tools have differe

Reflection on what I've learned about blogging as a teacher

I had the opportunity of being able to listen to Kaila and Kristi talk about their experiences as teacher bloggers and how it all works. I like the way Kaila and Kristi have their instagram set up and how quickly they will reply if there is any questions. I think they both made very good points on how to work a Professional Learning Network.     What I learned about Professional Learning  Networks, many teachers use them or have accounts of their own whether it is on Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube etc. These accounts ensure ways for teachers to receive new information to use in the classroom or share techniques they use themselves. Having a blogging account as a teacher allows you to receive feedback and learn different ideas. There is always new ideas on how to improve yourself as a teacher or new lessons to teach students. Social media as a teacher allows for there to be new ideas circling as 24/7 instead of running of the same ideas until we retire.      My key takeaways from the

Teacher Bloggers

I have learned that by being a blogger not only can you share your ideas with other educators but, also follow teacher blogs to learn new ideas for in the classroom. It is important to share your personal ideas with other teachers since they could add insight to improve the way you teach or yourself as blogger can give new teachers ideas on how to approach their teaching years. As a result, my opinions on blogging has changed drastically.     I enjoyed reading Ms.Cassidy's  blog since I have family who live in Moose Jaw as well as they are also teachers. I found the different activities she shared gave me a better knowledge of different learning opportunities myself and my future students could experience. This teacher blogger taught many hands on experiences that kept the students attention but also  incorporated all the different kinds of learners in a classroom setting.      I feel with this blog they talk about active problems and how these problems could be resolved. I f

Teaching and inspiration blog

Hello I am Miss. Bostock, I try my hardest to include all my students in activities so that each kind of learner is taking part.  Before reading the articles I was iffy with blogging since I have never gotten into blogging myself nor have I ever really read blogs unless it was for school. Almost as though blogs were not thought in my mind and not important to me.   In the three blogs I have recently read I feel I agree with how these educators feel since it can often be difficult to know what it is like going into another teachers class and having no idea "what is going on behind the closed," ( Couros ). Before reading George  Couros blog I did not think of the negative thoughts that could appear in ones mind if my classroom door is closed. As well, reading Kathleen Morris blog post it came to my attention that social media and technology is highly used in todays society, "a  classroom blogging program offers ongoing opportunities to discuss internet safety and appropria
